Greenhouse Sustainability is launching a brand-new version of the Flori Footprint Tool. The online software tool allows companies in the floriculture sector to calculate the environmental impact of their products and locations even faster, easier, and more affordably.
Sustainability starts with reliable insight. That is why Greenhouse Sustainability continues to develop the Flori Footprint Tool. Over the past few months, partly based on valuable user feedback, work has been done on an extensive update. The new version of the Flori Footprint Tool automates the entire workflow. As a result, project turnaround time is significantly reduced and operational costs go down. “By transforming the slow, repetitive routine into a faster, more affordable, and much more user-friendly experience, you effortlessly achieve a streamlined result from the very first moment,” says Henri Potze, Director of Greenhouse Sustainability.
Real-time
The new version can calculate real-time scenarios. The results are updated live as soon as the data is adjusted. This allows users to quickly simulate what operational choices mean for the footprint and immediately see the effect of changes in business operations on sustainability results. In addition, via the new Sharing Center, footprint data can be shared securely and easily with customers, buyers, and other strategic partners in the supply chain.
The new Flori Footprint Tool supports users even better thanks to automatic calculations of transport distances and an improved import of fertilizers and crop protection products. It is also possible to automatically recalculate the footprint when data is modified. Furthermore, footprint results can be compared interactively in the dashboard, and data can be easily exported to Excel. In addition, charts are directly available as a PNG file for presentations or reports. Finally, with new progress indicators, it is possible to see at a glance which data is complete and which still requires attention.
To provide users with additional support, the Helpdesk is now fully integrated into the tool. It offers direct access to an extensive knowledge base, practical support, and a smart AI chatbot to assist you while you work. In addition, you can book a short online session every week with an LCA specialist from Greenhouse Sustainability to discuss practical questions directly.
User feedback
The extensive update was developed based on user feedback, Potze indicates. “Even after the launch, we will continue to invest in new functionalities and improvements. This is how we ensure together that the Flori Footprint Tool continues to align with the latest developments regarding sustainability, legislation, and market demands.” The new version of the Flori Footprint Tool will be available starting September 1. A webinar will be organized around the launch to explain all the details. More information about that will follow soon.
